Frequently Asked Questions

Which team should I choose?

• You can read about the available teams under 'tilmelding'. Here, under 'descriptions,' you can read more about the different teams and find the one that suits you best—we cannot advise you on which team you should sign up for.  
• All instructor are able to speak English and help with translation.
• You cannot get a refund if you regret your registration, but you can be transferred to another team during the season as long as there are available spots.

How do I register?  

• All registration and payment are done online. Find the team you wish to register for under 'tilmelding'.
• After registering, you will receive a receipt, which you should show to our ASS instructors the first time you join.
• It is not possible to pay in cash.

Can I learn to swim at ASS?

• You must be able to swim at least 200 meters without aids to become a member, as swimming takes place in a 2-meter-deep pool, and there is no instruction offered for learning to swim.  
• No lessons are offered for children.

Do you offer trial sessions?

• No, not even for a fee. However, you are welcome to come and talk to our lifeguards during our training hours if you are unsure whether ASS is right for you.

What should I do the first time I come?

• The first time you come, you need to bring a photo of yourself (size: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) and your registration receipt (which can be shown online), then you will be issued your membership card.

I have not received a receipt by email.

• Check that the email hasn't gone to 'spam.'  
• You can always view your registrations/payments by logging into your profile on the website: 'My Profile' > 'Go to Profile' > 'My Registrations'/DA: 'Min profil' > 'Gå til profil' > 'Mine tilmeldinger'
• If you haven't received a receipt by email, you can always show your registration via your profile when collecting your membership card.

Why do I need to bring a photo the first time?

• Physical membership cards are issued. To create these, you need to bring a physical photo measuring 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.  
• Your registration receipt can be shown online.  
• It is not possible to get an online membership card.

Where can I find lost items/membership cards?

• Lost membership cards are kept by ASS instructors.  
• For other lost items, contact ASS instructors or the pool's lifeguards.

Does the price cover the whole season and admission?

• Yes, our prices are for an entire season. When you register and pay, you pay for the entire season.  
• It is not possible to reduce the fee even if you can only participate for half a season.  
• You can register in the middle of an ongoing season, but the price cannot be reduced.  
• You do not have to pay admission to the swimming pool when you come for training with your registered team. Registration does not grant access to the pool outside of your team's training hours.

Can I join a waiting list?

• We do not have waiting lists. Registration for a team closes when there are no more available spots.  
• We announce on our Facebook page during the season if we open up more available spots.

When does registration open for the next season?

• We announce when registration opens on our Facebook page.
